Alvin F and Mary N Buchanan Pyeatt
Alvin Finley Pyeatt was born c1845 in Washington Co, Arkansas, to Peter Paulus Pyeatt and Lavinia Cox and died aft 1880. He married Mary N ?Buchanan who was born c1846 in Arkansas. They moved to Denton County, Texas, before 1870. I believe that this is the "Aloma F Pyette and Mary Buchanan" (as indexed) who were married in Washington County, Arkansas, on November 8, 1866. Alvin would have been 21 at the time and the age of their first known child, William, was after that date.
I beleive that Alvin served as a private in the Confederate Army in Company H 15th (Northwest) Arkansas Infantry along with his brother, William H Pyeatt.

- Pyatte, William age 5/12 born AR / wm
This family was enumerated #246/246 pg 38; neighbors were Harriet Ferrell, Thomas Lindsey, Burrell Cox, James Stanfield, Dan Robinson and James ?ger.
