Minutes of ABATE District 9 General Meeting September, 2000  

• Roll call - 22 members present + 5 guests
• Meeting was called to order at 7:15pm
• Minutes read by Keith DuPriest. Motion made, seconded, and carried, to accept the minutes as read
• Treasurer’s report read by Waylon Brown. Motion MS & C to accept Treasurer’s report as read
• Old Business: Discussed monthly dinner ride & group ride. Also discussed banner/billboard for pics at clubhouse. Tabled ‘til later date.
• New Business: Discussed upcoming events: dinner ride to Bayou Inn, Free Spirts M/C Rally & Bike Show, Ogemaw Poker Run, Trail of Tears Ride, Posse Ride (HOG), March of Dimes Ride.
• Discussed in detail all aspects of preparation for our End-of-Summer Rally, coming up in 10 days.
• Asked members to try to come up with some suggestions for possible alternative State ABATE Rally site more centrally located in state.
• Outlined tasks to be undertaken at a Work Day for this Sunday, in preparation for our rally.
• Reminded members that the next MSF Experienced Rider Course offering will be Sept. 23 - 24.
• Greeted new members George Crow, Ricky Dennis & Nena Dees.
• Guests attending were Chuck Hanson, Mark & Angie Smith, and Mike & Cheryl Smith.
• Meeting adjourned at 9:30pm.
