A strange creature
Upon the highway sighted,
Sitting silently on the side,
A very curious creature,
Certainly an unknown kind,
It smiled among the flowers,
Sang along with birds,
Frolicked in the down pour,
Sat contemplating time,
It laughed out loud at nothing,
Joyful of it's life,
Then wept a desperate moment,
Mourned loves left behind,
A creature really quite unknown,
In these parts anymore,
Thought to have been extinct,
Gone for ever more,
But now I've been discovered,
Last of the romantics,
One of a very rare breed,
We now roam the roads as loners,
A truly dying seed.
