Epitaph

 

Put pennies on my eyes,

So if they open, I'll ne'er see thee.

 

Cross my arms tight,

So I'll ne'er reach to thee.

 

Take away my shoes,

So I'll have no desire to walk to thee.

 

Call me the Walrus,

So I won't remember the woman in thee.

 

Place me deep inside a box,

So I'll be sealed away from thee.

 

Say the prayers, observe the rites,

So my soul is released, ne'er to return to thee.

 

Return ne'er to this site,

So I'll ne'er wait for thee.

 

Write this my epitaph,

So I'll be sealed away from thee.

 

Continue to remember me.

So I'll always feel the love of thee,

As ye will always feel mine.
