Upon life's stage
Stare into the footlights,
Trying to avoid the fall,
In search of true reality,
In an illusionary hall,
Painted masks hide the pain,
And I stumble on the stage,
Of some one else's play,
Scenes are all written,
But the feelings are false,
Watching for previews,
Feelings of loss,
Is there no one with insight,
To come forth and produce,
The realities of truth?
All honest auditions,
Upon this lying stage,
Are invariably turned away.
