Taste the wind
Taste the wind before the storm,
Drink it's power at length,
See it's colours take on form,
Feed long and gain it's strength,
The wind appears around us,
And will not be kept out,
It beats my face, and breaks my stare,
And deafens my angry shout.
It is forever around me,
I dare to take it's shape,
To become one with the wind,
To follow you through time,
My gentle breezes would caress you,
For ever to be mine.
I would take you up, upon my back,
And show you things of dreams,
We would soar up high with eagles,
Put ripples on the streams.
And carefully I'd lay you down,
Upon a field of flowers,
And make them wave around you,
And love with you for hours.
And then as you think I will depart,
A gust, to be blown away with leaves,
Your heart flutters, you feel me there,
Always when you breathe.
