"FORGIVENESS"As the harsh rain comes pouring down
Is it tears from God in heaven
That make puddles on the ground?
Have I somehow disappointed
The wearer of the thorny crown?
Tell me my actions didn't turn
His golden smile to a frown.
I flinch as the thunder bellows
Now even harder do I cry
The clouds go swiftly rolling back
As I look up to the sky
The sun beams down upon my face
Reassuring me of His grace
Safe and sound in my secret place
A smile returns to my face

and memories were a lane,
I would walk right up to heaven
to bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken
no time to say goodbye
you were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.
My heart still aches in sadness
and secret tears still flow,
what it meant to lose you,
no one will ever know.

In the past year
I lost all my fear
Of never being loved
And always being shoved.
I've found great happiness
In your embrace
And nothing but gladness
When I see your face.
You're always there for me
Whatever my problem may be
Through thick and through thin
You're my very best friend.
I feel that we'll never
Ever fall apart
We'll be together forever
I know this in my heart.
It's what I want in life
It's the only thing I need
To live and die as your wife
Knowing you'll forever love me.
