| The Grand Ordeal is a Science Fiction/Fantasy novel I have been working on for quite some time. The entire story is done and I have completed a couple of drafts. You can read some of the rough drafts in the writing section of this site. The pictures were created using a combination of pencil drawings, paint, and graphic design with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. They depict characters and scenes in my book. I like to portray my ideas visually as well as in written word. |

This is Inue. She is one of the main characters in "The Grand Ordeal". This painting is based on the scene where Inue emerges from the cave she stumbled into close to the beginning of the book. She was lost in the cave and faced many perils and battles therein. This would explain the bloody sword and tattered clothing. |
| This is a portrait of Trathicus. He is part of a race of beings close to the gods called the Grakons. They are angelic winged beings who are the keepers of the Sthrill'ell stones and the defenders of the heavens. Trathicus plays a key role in "The Grand Ordeal" as he takes charge when the world is in dire need. |  |

This is Srevak, the antagonist. He is one of the immortal Sthrill'ell, a once great race betrayed by the gods and replaced by the humans. There are only a few left and they possess unimaginable powers and magic. It is Srevak's goal to capture the youngest and strongest of the Sthrill'ell still living, Dramos, who is stong enough to carry out Srevak's evil plans of world domination. |
| This is a scene from the end of the book where Srevak unleashes his great power upon the group of heroes who were selected to stop Srevak and maintain the balance of good and evil. |  |

This is a scene where Inue is battling the basisk monitor in the dark smokey cave. She has just been knocked to the ground and both the creature and inue stare each other down waiting for the other to make a move. |
