These photos were taken in the winter in the Massapequa Preserve on Long Island New York. There aren't many areas in Nassau County, NY that have not been developed. This section of the site is dedicated to the great landscapes and animals that make up Long Island. The ice storm theme is symbolic of natures way of destroying everything in the winter with plans of a spring time ressurection. I believe humans will continue to destroy their surroundings, and I am hoping one day we will see the light and make our own spring across the entire planet. It may not go this way but its nice to imagine.
