Lucky Frog
(personal transformation)
< Previous----Next>
In many Asian cultures the frog represents good luck (and toads sometimes
represent bad luck). Because of its dramatic change from egg to tadpole to
adult, the frog is also a potent symbol of transformation, as illustrated
by the fairytale of the frog prince. In some myths, frogs call down rain and
thunder with their croaking. In dreams, frogs are said to represent the unconscious
because they live in water. Frog medicine may even help one to dive deep into
their unconscious to bring hidden truths to the surface. Made from glazed
red earthenware clay, the back of this limited edition piece displays the
artist's signature stamp and the LQP chop mark, 1 1/2" high.
