1. I'm on
WebTV. How can I get my awards, levels, and membership cards from
the CLAW pages they are on?
Answer:
On WebTV we cannot "save as", but we can put images in our Pagebuilder
scrapbooks. Just hit "Go to" and "Show Current" for the URL of
the page the image is on, highlight and copy, then paste the URL
into WebScissors at http://www.webscissors.com , or one of the
many other tool sites that will show the images from the page
so you can choose yours and put it in your scrapbook.

I need the URL of the image itself. How do I get it?
Answer:
Many WebTV kitties build their websites in other domains, such
as Tripod or Angelfire, so we need the URL of the image itself
to use a transloader like Star Blvd or the FTP of our domain to
get it there. Here is an easy way to get the URL:
Again, Go
To, Show Current, highlight and copy the URL of the page
the image is on. Then go to WebFX at http://nbswebfx.com.
Delete the "http" already there and paste the URL in the box.
Hit "Apply Effect", even though you didn't choose one. The
page that comes up says "Here it is!" and shows all the images
from that page, with the URL of each image itself under it.
Use your Find
key, enter "http" (no quotes) and hit Return. Now the http of
the top image is highlighted. Use cmd + G to move
the highlight down the page until it is on the URL of the image
you want, then Shift and arrow keys
to highlight the whole URL, then cmd with C to copy.
Next, hit Go To, delete the http in the box and
paste (cmd + V) your URL there. Hit Go To
Page, and there is your image, all by itself!

How do I upload graphics?
Answer:
You can either use the WebTV Scrapbook uploader at http://members.tripod.com/~WebBabe/upload.html
to put it in your scrapbook, or save it in a Favorites folder
if you can't FTP or transload it to your website right away. You
can also go back to the "Here it is!" page and email the image
to yourself. You can save the WebFX email for a copy of your award
or load it in your scrapbook from the email if you want to.

Help! I got a "acces refused" - what can I do?
Answer:
In case you get one of WebTV's famous little "access refused"
signs when you go to bring your image up from Favorites, they
lie. Just hit Go To, Show Last, and Go To
Page. It will come up. There are lots of ways to do things
on WebTV; we just need to know what and where they are. Note:
these methods will not work with a CLAW page that is password
locked, but awards are rarely on password locked pages. If one
is, you will need to email the kitty whose page it is and ask
them for the image URL.
