Huichol masks are made the same way as the yarn
art, by placing beads or yarn onto a wooden base which is coated with beeswax
or a similar sticky substance. The bead work takes a lot more time as each
very small bead must be carefully placed by hand.
The first mask here is made with beads, the one below is made with yarn.
