This is a subject that is of great interest to me and one of my sisters in Carmel. I am old enough to realize how much better our world is for people confronting the lifetime management of such systemic illnesses. I am so pleased that you have decided to come forward Kathy. I fear that I have little to contribute for I do not have the experiences of that specific illness myself or a broad spectrum of views from the Carmelite perspective. I do know how our tiny new community has met and behaved toward a now clothed member who does have to manage the same illness.
The positions we needed were the so-called 3 and 4 spots, and we got them filled with Thomas and Clark. 4 rebounds last season at Treasure Valley College in Oregon, has signed a national letter of intent with Western Michigan, where he will have two years of eligibility left. Michigan received national letters of intent from forward Bernard Robinson and guard Avery Queen. Great Lakes men's coaches picked Northern Michigan and Wayne State to win the North and South divisions, respectively, in a preseason poll. The women's coaches picked Michigan Tech to win the North Division.
Junior Andrea McDonald (TemperanceBedford) posted a 9. Martin DePorres) posted his 10th double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds in a win over Gannon Feb. Senior forward Alan Rainge (Pontiac Central) had 24 points against Gannon. He also had 12 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Redshirt freshman center Fawne Allossery (Roseville) posted her second double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in a 65-56 loss to Mercyhurst.
