Like many artist of his circle, particularly Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, Rosenquist has been fascinated with the visual language and ephemera of mass-reproduction. In Rosenquist's case, his interest was manifestedin an art derived from popular imagery sources yet committed to the expression of hispersonal concerns as a artist and a printmaker.
