PECAN SANDIES


  • 1 C.   butter
  • 1/3 C.   sugar
  • 1 t.   vanilla
  • 1T.  water
  • 2 1/4 C.   flour
  • 1 C.   finely chopped pecans


    Beat butter 30 secs.on high adding sugar gradually, beat in vanill and water till well mixed.   Being sure to scrape sides of the bowl.   Add as much flour as possible with mixer, then mix the rest in by hand. < Roll dough into balls about the size of a walnut.   Place balls on an ungreased cookie sheet 3 inches apart and press with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.   Bake in a preheated oven at 325 degrees for 20 mins. or till the bottoms are lightly browned.
