Renaissance Brass of the Sun Cities is a cohesive group of 30 brass and percussion musicians dedicated to the performance of the traditional music of the British brass band. In the United States in the late 1800's and early 1900's many of our towns had a town band as one of the focal points of the town spirit. Today in the United Kingdom this tradition is still active with most town bands bringing pride to the local citizenry by performing concerts and entering competitions with other town bands. All the bands in the UK are supported financially by local businesses, factories, mines, mills and the like. The finest musicians available make up the Renaissance Brass. Our musicians are retired professional musicians, music educators and highly qualified musicians from other walks of life. Renaissance Brass is a non-profit corporation that qualifies for tax exempt status under IRS rules. No member receives financial compensation and the band is completely self-sufficient. We do encourage tax deductible contributions to help offset the band's expenses for music, instruments and many incidental expenses which are not covered by ticket receipts. We of the Renaissance Brass enjoy presenting this unique music to the public of the West Valley and have found that the music is enthusiastically received by our audiences
