The New Millennium
I just went back and read our millennium section
and I almost slapped myself! What a negative review! I think I was having
a helluva bad day or something cause Kevin's voice does not sound terrible.
I've been listening to the cd and I really like it. That review was
a piece of crap, so I made a brand new one. Enjoy!
Larger Than Life
-
First of all, this song kicks butt cause it's a
cool different sound from them. Exspecially the demonic laughter in the
beginning. Lmao. It's Quinn's favorite song, but if I hear them say, "It's
edgier..." or "for the fans..." I'll hurl.
I Want It That Way
-
I'm still not sick of this song yet, even though
I hear it on the radio practically every hour. It's got this nice flow to
it, but I still don't get what way they want it. Whatever. It's still a great
song and a good pick for their first single.
Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely
-
This is one of their best slow songs ever. It's
really pretty and all, but I don't see how it could make you cry. The lyrics
kinda don't make sense too. When Kevin sings, " Eyes of stone observe the
trends, they never say, forever gaze..." Umm, Ok Kevy, whatever you say.
You're still beautiful. ::sigh::
It's Gotta Be You
-
Ok, this is one of my favs, even if it's a little
bit like Everybody, it still rocks. When I hear it I just wanna get
up and dance, you know. I love Nick's little "Bay-bay it's the way
you make-may kinda get me go cray-zay" thing. Oh yeah, AJ's voice sounds
good too.
I Need You Tonight
-
Damn! Nick's voice changed a lot! It actually sounds
good. That's something I never thought I would say. Forgive me all you Nick
haters out there. Go back and listen to Let's Have a Party when his voice
sounded like Monica's. It just sounds so much better. Anyways, I Need You
Tonight is a good song. As Nick would say, "Much props to Andrew
Fromm."
Don't Want You Back
-
I love the beat to this song. It's cool and hip
hoppy. They sort of stole the harpish sound from "The Boy Is Mine" in the
beginning but that's allright. The funniest part of the song is "Like all
the hundred, NO, thousand lies." The way AJ says no, it's like, " Ok, he
means business lady." One thing that could've, I mean should've, been cut
out is when Nick goes, "BAACK, BAACK" at the end. It sounds very scary, like
a rooster. Other than that, it's a very kewl song.
Don't Wanna Lose You Now
-
The beginning of this song does NOT sound like
"Sometimes"! It's a lot better than that piece of shit song. This song is
one of my favs because it just is. Brian and AJ sing really good in this
one. The only problem I have with it is that Nick needs a speech therapist
to teach him how "girl" right. Geez! It's not that hard. He's like, " url,
if only I knew what I've done..." Come on!
The One
-
This song is a happy song. The beat makes me wanna
go to Spain and meet real, "Latin Lovers". Lol. It's a nice song and Nick
sings good in it. So does AJ. AJ sings a lot more on this cd and he sounds
really good.Yeah! Go AJ!
Back To Your Heart
-
Kevy-Kev did a great job writing this, it sounds
really good. I wonder who he was writing it for. Me? Oh yeah, I wish. Brian's
singing kicks butt and this song proves it.
Spanish Eyes
-
I'm sorry to say it, but I can't listen to this
whole song without fastforwarding. It's a pretty song, but it's too slow
and the lyrics are kinda gay. "Knowing that hate is wrong, and love is right."
No shit guys.
No One Else Comes To You
-
This song is a cover of one of Joe's songs! Both
versions are good, but Joe's is just a little bit better. I can't help but
laugh when Nick goes, "Ooh BABY!" He sounds seriously constipated! Other
than that, it's a very cool song.
The Perfect Fan
-
Ok, this song is really, really good. I love everything
from the piano to the chior's harmonies. It's just so sweet that Brian wrote
this for his mom. I like how everyone sings in it, except Nick, I
guess.
All in all, I love this cd. I can almost listen
to the whole thing without skipping songs or fastforwarding, so that's a
major plus. It's cool because older people can listen to it and like it without
getting sick from teenyboppish beats ::cough:: 5ive. The guys helped out
with this cd a lot and that proves that they are really talented. I hope
their success lasts cause they really deserve every bit of it.
I wonder if Nsync's new cd will be this good. Hmm..I
guess we'll all find out in October.
