March! 2000!

March 2000

March was literally (and unfortunately) taken over by ‘N Sync, “Bye, Bye, Bye,” and their visits to TRL. They were number 1 almost every single day of the month. March was good cause I finally got my act together and updated this site… I know everyone’s really happy about that! Debuts from Limp Bizkit and the Bloodhound Gang became a major part of the countdown. Enjoy!

[Ooooh, and you can compare these to the results from March of last year! How interesting!]

Wednesday 3/01/2000
10 "Ex-Girlfriend" by No Doubt - Return

- DJ Skribble scratches to some of Madonna’s favorite songs

04 "Candy" by Mandy Moore - Huge jump. She was excited.

09 "Candy" by Mandy Moore - Her presence is backfiring.

02 "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely" by Backstreet Boys - Pick the next single!

- World premiere Blink 182 video: “Adam’s Song” This was unbelievable. It was so good. I am so touched. They did an awesome job at putting into video this cool song.

Wednesday 3/08/2000

Thursday 3/09/2000
10 "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart" by Britney Spears - Poor Britney’s falling!
09 "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child
08 “The Thong Song” by Sisqo

05 "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart" by Britney Spears
04 "Make Me Bad" by Korn
03 "Forgot About Dre" by Dr. Dre f/Eminem
02 "Bye, Bye, Bye" by 'N Sync - How sad! After 26 days, they’ve been dethroned! (Finally)

Notes:
- Dave Holmes guest hosts
- Blaque visits
- World Premiere Blaque video: “I Do”

Tuesday 3/14/2000
10 "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart" by Britney Spears - Wow she fell—can barely hold on!
09 "Adam's Song" by Blink-182 - Not that Blink is a serious band at all, but this video is serious… and so good.
08 "The Thong Song" by Sisqo
07 "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child - Lyric of the day: “Every other word is ‘uh-huh,’ ‘yeah,’ ‘okay’ Could it be that you are at the crib with another lady?” Whoa, that’s jumping to conclusions.
06 "This Time Around" by Hanson - Taylor’s birthday—turns 17 today.
05 "I Do" by Blaque - Ugh. Awful video. More explanation to come, if you don’t agree.
04 "Make Me Bad" by Korn

Wednesday 3/15/2000
10 "Only God Knows Why" by Kid Rock - One more day left, only!
09 "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child
08 "This Time Around" by Hanson
07 "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit - WOW what a cool video. This song has always been good too.
06 "I Do" by Blaque - Reason #1: Their makeup is just plain excessive (and sorta ugly).
05 "Make Me Bad" by Korn - Lyric of the day: “It’s quite deceiving as I’m feeling helpless, make me bad.”
04 "Forgot About Dre" by Dr. Dre f/Eminem
03 "The Thong Song" by Sisqo - This a major jump: even though he was reading the cue cards and discussing thongs all day yesterday, he went up

10 "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart" by Britney Spears - Pictures!

09 "Only God Knows Why" by Kid Rock - Retired today! It’s sad that Carson wasn’t there to see off the video.
08 "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit - Fred is awesome—I love his blue eyes.
07 "I Do" by Blaque - Took your inspiration for this video from Alanis? RIGHT—I’ve seen her use those bright pinks all the time!
06 "Try Again" by Aaliyah - I thought only boy bands used clichés in their music.
05 "Make Me Bad" by Korn - Scares me still.
04 "Forgot About Dre" by Dr. Dre f/Eminem - Why do they keep not playing this? The song is so good.
03 "The Thong Song" by Sisqo - The white/gray hair is growing on me, but it’s really odd that it matches his outfit.
02 "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely" by Backstreet Boys
01 "Bye, Bye, Bye" by 'N Sync
Notes:
- Evan Farmer (Jerry from 2Gether) guest hosts He has a really high, weird voice, doesn’t he?

- World premiere LFO video: “I Don’t Wanna Kiss You Goodnight”
- Darrin Henson, ‘N Sync’s choreographer, visits and shows some people how to dance the ‘N Sync dance, which is the same thing over and over again, basically.
- Britney made it back, but no Blink (c’mon people let’s vote for them!) or Hanson or Destiny’s Child today. Tomorrow 2Gether and maybe LFO will be on, but let’s get Blink back too! There’s way too much competition.

Justin likes Eminem, even though his “thought process is a little crazy.” Riiiiight.
04 "The Thong Song" by Sisqo
03 "Make Me Bad" by Korn
02 "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely" by Backstreet Boys
Best part: Nick’s eyebrow raise!
01 "Bye, Bye, Bye" by 'N Sync
Comments on their visit: Joey wearing like the ugliest jacket ever. Justin wearing like the biggest orange turtleneck I’ve ever seen. Lance pretty hot. Chris looks disturbed, especially when BSB’s video was played.
Notes:
- Bloodhound Gang debuts
- ‘N Sync visits I’m seeing way too much of them. They introduced some FREAK fans to them. These people were crazy…
- Enrique Iglesias debuts
- News from Brian McFayden (his debut on TRL). Holy… he so looks like Nick Carter from BSB. He’s pretty hot, Carson was right.

This song and Britney show that slow songs never can make it as well as uptempo songs can
01 "Bye, Bye, Bye" by 'N Sync

06 "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child
05 "The Thong Song" by Sisqo
Way overplayed now. I can’t even remember Ricky’s “Livin’ la Vida Loca” (if I want to) cause I get this song in my head. That shows something.

Man this song is repetitive. What are their names anyway?
06 "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit
How Carson relaxes. The fight scene, adrenaline building, is the best
05 “Big Pimpin’” by Jay-Z
This song sucks, in my humble opinion.
04 "Make Me Bad" by Korn
Still scary. The whole moving thing under the skin is unbearable.
03 "The Thong Song" by Sisqo
