IN THE BEGINNING

Up In Arms is a brutal hardcore band from Daytona Beach. It was started on October 10th, 1999. Started with George and Foreman, some kids who wanted a hardcore band but had no name. These two kids later gained, Sean Robbins on bass, Mike Brutal on drums, and Sean Boote on second guitar. The bands first practice, on October 23rd, was a big success, when they wrote their first song "When The Sun Sets". After the second practice (which fell ironically on Halloween), the other guitarist, Sean Boote, quit due to creative differences. But not to worry, Sean still remains a good friend, and loyal fan of Up In Arms.

THE NAME

Who ever said coming up with a band name was easy, needs to be shot. For in our case it was extremely difficult, and time consuming. Fortunately the only one who had to go through the mental anguish of coming up with the name, was our guitarist George. He dedicated an entire evening searching through dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias looking for name that suited us best. Finally after hours of searching he found it. Up In Arms is a synonym for resistance and complete disorder. As soon as he saw this, he knew it was the perfect name for us.
