After we ate, we went back to the jewlery store and picked up the ring. I didn't get it wrapped because I knew my mom and everyone would want to see it. It was just after 6:30pm, like we knew it would be.
I pulled out my cell phone as we left the mall and called my mom's cell phone.
"Hey Nicky, where are you?" she asked, after reading her caller id.
"We're just leaving the mall, we'll be there in about ten minutes, that ok?" I asked her.
"Yup... so what'd you get Savanna?" she of course wanted to know.
"You'll have to wait and see. I'll show you when we get there." I replied. "Bye Mom." I finished and then hung up my cell.
It just about 7pm when we got back to the stadium. The traffic was horrible. My whole family and my groupmates were waiting around to see what I had bought for my girlfriend. Aaron ran into the stadium like a maniac.
"Where's Nick?" BJ asked him right away.
"He's coming... oh man you gotta see what he got. It's awesome!" he answered excitedly, just as I walked in.
A crowd of people met me and all wanted to see what I got.
"Ok, ok... here..." I mumbled, pulling out the ring box.
My mom took it and opened it first. She let out a gasp. She was speechless.
"Do you like it Mom?" I asked her, and by that time, the whole crowd had seen it.
"It's... beautiful..." my mom managed to say.
"Holy shit, that thing is gorgeous." BJ said without thinking. She covered her mouth but everyone just laughed at her.
"What's it for, Nicky?" Howie Dorough, one of my other bandmates, spoke up.
"Just to say sorry for being away from her for so long, and to say I love her." I answered.
Everone "awwww" ed and then everyone pushed me into a huge group hug. I was just squished in the middle. I just laughed.
The show was great. We had so much fun, and it actually kept Savanna off my mind for a few hours. We brought some fans on stage to dance with us, and we had water guns and silly string and everything. We always do that kind of stuff for the last show of a tour.
It was just about midnight when we finally left the stadium, after doing a one-hour meet 'n greet after the show. It was great though, I love seeing the fans so happy when they get to meet us. But by 11:30pm, my mind was going crazy and I started to think every girl I saw was Savanna. As soon as we got on the bus again, around midnight, I said goodnight to everyone and fell asleep dreaming about my girlfriend.
It was only about four hours from Tampa to Lakeland, which was where we went first. The other guys wanted to see Savanna and say hi to her too. They were going to stay there for a night or two and then fly back to wherever they were going.
~~~~~
I was woken up to the smell of a familar perfume... Savanna's perfume. I sat up quickly and saw her, my girlfriend, looking in my bunk where I was laying.
"Please tell me I'm not dreaming..." I let my voice trail off.
"Nope." she grinned. "I'm here. We're in Lakeland..."
"Seriously?" I asked, in shock. I was totally shocked that she was there, with me, finally.
"Yes..." now it was her turn to let her voice trail off as she wrapped her thin arms around my neck and pulled me close to her.
I breathed in the smell of her strawberry shampoo from her hair and her Tommy Girl perfume. That was the perfect smell. It was her smell. I held her tight in my arms, not ever wanting to let her go. I layed back in my bunk again, pulling her down with me. She giggled and layed on top of me. Neither of us spoke for awhile, we didn't have to. I just started kissing her and she kissed back. I guess we were a little carried away, because we didn't even hear people calling us from outside the bunk.
"NICK! SAVANNA!"
At least four or five voices were calling us. We were just a little preoccupied. Suddenly the curtain to the bunk opened and AJ was standing there clearing his throat.
"Sorry to interupt, I know you've been apart for awhile, but... they're taking the bus away to clean it and stuff... so we gotta get off." he told us.
"Uh..." I said, pulling away from Savanna's lips. "Ok, thanks Bone. We'll be out in a minute."
He left us alone again and we both sat up. Without a word, I helped her out of the bunk and then jumped out myself. I wrabbed my arm around her waist and grabbed my backpack. I looked around to make sure I didn't leave anything, and then we got off the big tourbus. I knew I'd miss that bus a little. We'd spent so much time on it lately.
We were at her house, I knew that. Since Savanna lived with her parents and her siblings, the other guys had to stay at a hotel down the street, but didn't mind. I was so happy that her parents were letting me stay with her, at their house. I would die if I wasn't with her.
"Baby, is your family here?" I asked Savanna, noticing there was no cars in the driveway and her brother's weren't playing outside like they always were.
"No..." she shook her head, "My parents took the boys to Orlando for the day, to see Marissa... Miranda is here now, but she's leaving too." Savanna told me. I grinned. Her older sister Marissa lived with her boyfriend in Orlando.
"Sweet..." I let my voice trail off, as I leaned down to kiss her again.
"You guys can all come in... hang-out, whatever..." Savanna said to the guys and Leighanne, leading us all into her house. She had a large house, concidering so many people lived there. It was a really nice house, too.
"NICK!"
I heard someone calling my name when we got in the house. I turned around and saw Savanna's younger sister Miranda calling me.
"Randi!" I yelled to her and she ran into my arms. I didn't let go of Savanna, though. "You're so grown up, girl. It's been months since I seen you." I told her, and she nodded. "You remember my best friends... that's Howie, Brian, Kevin and AJ... but you can pretend we're NOT the Backstreet Boys, ok?" I laughed. She nodded again.
"When are you leaving, Randi?" Savanna asked her sister.
"In a few minutes. Jason's coming to get me." she answered.
"Ok... well hangout with the guys until you leave, ok?" she told her. "Guys, you just watch TV, movies, whatever... uh there's a pool table in the basement and food in the fridge." Savanna told my friends. They all nodded.
"I wanna play pool and eat!" I told my girlfriend.
"Sorry Mister... I have other plans for you." she whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine. She was so sexy.
"Ok, then... see you guys later... bye Randi... we'll talk more later, 'aight?" I asked her. She giggled and nodded.
Then I ran up the stairs, holding Savanna's hand tightly. When we got to her room, we went in and I closed and locked the door. Without a word, I pulled her close to my body and just held her there. She was breathing a little heavy, and then she started kissing my neck. She moved her mouth up and sucked on my ear, which she knew drove me crazy. I started moaning, but pulled back enough to talk.
"Sav... Savanna... shouldn't we... talk a bit... first?" I asked her between kisses.
"If you want to... but I don't want to." she answered.
Suddenly it hit me. I remembered about the ring. I gasped.
"What? What's wrong?" she asked right away.
"Nothing, I just remembered that I have something for you." I told her. She grinned.
"What is it?" she asked cutely.
"C'mere, sit down." I lead her over to the bed and we both sat down. I reached into my shirt pocket and pulled out my cell phone first, and set it down on the table. Then I reached in again and pulled out the ring box. "Here... I just got this for you last night... I was out, I saw it... I had to buy it..." I explained to her.
She took it from me slowly and took a deep breath. She wasn't sure what it was, or why she was getting it. It was all a big mystery. Until she opened it.
