Chapter Twenty-Four:
Party?!

*An Hour and a half later*

I looked out the window just as Jeffery pulled into the parking lot of the arena. I looked at the clock and it was just after 2:30pm. We knew our soundcheck wasn't until 3pm today, so we weren't late. We had just ate lunch. Fox and I were just sitting on the couch in the middle section of the bus. Dare told us about Kent during lunch, and we were happy that he wasn't cheating on her. But Dare still seemed to be a little distant, like she was still worried about something. I decided I'd talk to her later, when we were alone again.

"Fox, we're here!" I told him happily. He just nodded. I could tell that he didn't want to be there. He didn't want me to be so busy, he wanted me to be with him. I grabbed his hand and we stood up. We were the first off the bus, and everyone came off after us. We walked into the backstage area together.

"Hey girls!"

We all heard someone calling us and looked around. It was Brian Littrell. We all smiled at him.

"Hey Brian!" Marce yelled.

"Hey, um, you're invited to the party Saturday night, we just found out about it today and we have to tell everyone." Brian told us.

"Party?!" Joey yelled.

"Yeah, it's just a 'beginning of the tour party', it's in New York City, when we have two days off." he told us. We all grinned. I looked up at Fox, who looked so happy.

"Wow, this is awesome!" Joey continued.

"So, we have a show tonight, Thursday, and then a show tomorrow night, in Richmond, Virginia. Then we have two days off in New York, Saturday and Sunday?" Cher asked, getting it all straight. Brian nodded.

"That's so awesome, we get to go to our first huge party!" Marce yelled, as her and Joey starting jumping up and down.

"It's not really a huge party, girls. It's just for the acts, and the management and dancers and stuff. Not really that big of deal." Brian laughed at our excitement.

"Hey, it is to us." Cher said defensively, with a laugh.

"Alright, sorry." Brian laughed again. "I better go find the guys, we're going out somewhere before the show." he finished, "See you girls later."

"Ok, tell the other guys we said 'hi'." I spoke up. Brian nodded, and then walked away from us.

"WOW! We get to go to a party!" Joey screamed, when he was gone.

"Joe, it's not like we've never been to parties before!" Dare told her, laughing.

"I know, but not like this. This is a 'tour' party. This is gonna be awesome." Joey finished.

I looked up at Fox again. He was smiling down at me. I just wanted to grab his head and kiss him. But I resisted.

We went and got ready for the soundcheck. Aaron was done so Joey and him hung out for a few minutes while our band got set up. Then we did our soundcheck. Everyone was telling us that we were sounded even better than the day before. We were so excited about the party, and that gave us tons more energy. After the soundcheck, at about 4:30pm, no one was really around backstage. Aaron and the Backstreet Boys went out somewhere, Christina told us that she and her dancers were going to get something to eat before the show. We hadn't seen soulDecision yet that day, but figured they were out somewhere, too. And the guys from Rowdy had their soundcheck around 5pm, but they weren't there yet. We showered and got changed, and then we sat down in our dressing room, trying to think of something to do.

"I know, let's go shopping, you know, for outfits for the party!" Joey all of a sudden yelled. All us girls jumped up at the idea. But we heard the guys groan.

"Why? You have tons of clothes, why do you need more?" Luke asked. He hated shopping the most.

"We can't wear any of our clothes to the party. Everyone is going to remember what we wore to this party!" Cher yelled.

"No one will care what you wear." Tony stated, not getting up.

"Yes, they will!" Marce yelled back.

"No, girls, they don't have to come with us if they don't want to." I spoke up, "Guys, you can stay here alone." I said, trying reverse phycoligy.

"Fine, whatever, we'll come. But we're not walking around with you, while you gawk over clothes you'll never buy." Luke laughed, standing up. Fox stood up and whispered in my ear,

"I'll walk around with you."

I smiled at him. Then we all went and found Trevor, who was just talking to some people we didn't know. Man, Trevor knows everyone. We told him we were going to the closest mall, and he said we had to be back by 6:30pm. That gave us lots of time. Almost two hours. Then the eight of us went outside and got back onto the bus. Jeffery was just down at the street at a coffee shop, so we waited for him and then we left. It was a short drive to the huge mall.

"Thanks, Jeffery, we'll be finished by 6:30pm, we'll meet you here, ok?" Joey asked him.

"Of course, I'll be here." he finished.

Then we got off the bus. I told myself over and over that I wouldn't be too wrapped up in this, like the I did the day before, and forget about Fox. So I grabbed his hand as we walked into the huge mall. It only took about five minutes, and we were lost. We found maps of the mall, and used them to try to find really awesome clothing stores.

Joey found her outfit almost right away. It was a teal colored shiney tube top, and a short, and I mean short, black leather skirt. We almost didn't let her buy it, since it was so short. But she begged. She also got a strapless bra to wear with the tube top. After awhile of thinking, Cher decided on a really nice red silk dress. It looked great on her. And she also bought high-healed sandles to match. Dare knew what she wanted as soon as she saw it. A low cut tank top in her favorite color, and sexy black leather pants. Only she could get away with wearing that. Marce took the longest, other than me. I always take the longest to decide on anything. Marce chose a really hot blue tank top, and an ankle-length skirt in the same color. As for me, I let Fox pick. He picked out a shirt that he said would look "totally sexy" on me. It was a tube top, kinda like Joey's, except this one was green and white stripes. I actually liked it alot, so I agreed to buy it. And he also picked out the pants. He said he didn't want any other guys "checking me out" so he made me get these really nice shiney dark green pants. They were really awesome. When the five of us were done shopping, it wasn't even 6pm, it was about ten minutes to 6pm.

"So..." Cher laughed, "What are we gonna get for you guys?"

"Nothing... we'll wear the clothes we have, thank you very much." Luke yelled.

"C'mon, you wouldn't want new clothes, even if we offered to pay?" Marce asked, grinning. Tony and Luke both shook their heads no.

"We don't have to prove ourselves to all these rich people. And Brian said it's not a fancy party or anything." Tony told us.

"Come on! Please! We really want to buy you new clothes... plus we still have over half an hour." Dare started begging them.

"Yeah, guys, why don't we just make our girls happy and let them buy us new clothes?" Fox asked. His brothers laughed at him.

"You're so whipped, Foxy... fine, whatever, you go buy us clothes, we don't care!" Luke yelled, annoyed.

"Yah! Let's go, girls, guys, meet us at these door at 6:25pm, ok?" Joey yelled.

"How the hell are you going to get us clothes, you don't know what size we are!" Tony protested.

"We know alot more about you than you think." I laughed, "Besides, I know what size Fox is, and you're all the same."

"Fine, whatever. See you girls." Luke finished, and grabbed Fox out of my arms. I gave him a smiled. He pulled back and pulled me into a kiss. Then he left with his brothers.

*Half an hour later*

"They are going to love us for this!" Joey screamed, excited that we just shopped for our dancers, one of which is my boyfriend. I liked shopping for him.

We got them all sort of the same thing, just a little different. All their pants were black dress pants, all the same size. Fox's shirt was green and white, and it kind of matched my shirt. Tony's shirt was a few different shades of blue, which was his favorite color. And Luke's shirt was a long sleeved dress shirt, which was shiney silver. We knew he loved shirts like that. See, we actually did know alot about them.

"Yeah," Marce agreed, carrying about three different bags in her arms. "They are really going to like what we got."

It was about twenty after 6pm, and we were almost at the doors where we were meeting the guys. We each carried a few bags each. We loved shopping together, always had so much fun, and today was no exception.

*Meanwhile; the dancers*

"Man, where the hell are they?" Tony whined. He was starving, and they hadn't eaten, since we hadn't left them any money.

"They probably got lost, it's just like them, typical blondes." Luke laughed, as they sat on a bench to wait for us.

"Hey, only two of them are blonde." Fox said defensively.

"Yeah, Dare and, oh um... Fay, who's your girlfriend!" Tony teased.

"Man, you are so whipped it's not even funny. You're so obsessed with her." Luke told Fox. He just shrugged.

"I've always been obsessed with her, didn't you know that?" Fox asked back.

"Yeah, but not like this. You're absolutely crazy over her." Tony agreed.

"I know, I know. But I'm damn proud. I love her, she's my baby." Fox finished. When he looked up, he saw me and the girls walking closer to them. He jumped up and waited anxiously as we reached them.

"Hey guys!" Joey yelled to them, when they were in hearing range. When we were close enough to them, I reached out and grabbed his hand. I just really wanted to hold him. "You are going to love what we got for you." Joey finished.

"Are we?" Tony asked, jokingly. We all nodded.

"Alright let's get out of here, we gotta get back to the arena." Luke said, too anxious to get out of the mall.

"Yeah, let's go." we all agreed.

Then we went outside and found our big tour bus already waiting for us. We climbed on board our bus and drove back to the arena excitedly.
