Chapter Forty-Six:
Congradulations

As we loaded our bus again, filled with so much energy, Luke spoke up, reminding us,

"But, remember, we're going to the radio station, right now!"

We all grinned. We couldn't wait to get there and see all the DJ's at the station. And we knew there would be fans, and our friends, there, waiting for us. It was finally like we were famous.

"Let's go!" Cher screamed.

"Yeah, Jeff, speed!" Marce agreed, laughing.

"Girls, calm down, we have until 3pm to get there. It's not even 2:30pm." Jimmy informed us.

We all took deep breaths, and sat down in the kitchen area. I whispered something to Fox, but he didn't hear me.

"What did you say?" he whispered back cutely.

"Let's go to my bunk." I whispered for the second time.

"Are you serious?" he asked me. I nodded. "If you forgot, we only have like twenty minutes or something. What do you have planned?" he asked again.

"Nothing." I giggled, standing up. Then I grabbed his hand and pulled him up too.

"Where do you think you're going?" Marce asked us. I shrugged. "Well, don't get started on anything..." she finished, with a grin. I hit her arm playfully and pulled Fox down the isle to my bunk.

We climbed inside and just looked at each other. He was grinning, so I smiled back. His brown eyes looked a bit lighter than they usually did, and his hair wasn't gelled, it was just kind of flat. He looked adorable.

"Congradulations..." he mumbled, with a smile. I was confused.

"Huh, for what?" I asked him, still smiling. I couldn't not smile around him.

"Everything, baby. Congradulations for being on the tour... and now, today, for your single... it's finally released here, in the States!" he told me. I nodded, but didn't look happy enough for him. "Why aren't you excited?" he asked.

"I am excited. You don't understand how excited I really am." I told him plainly.

"You have a funny way of showing it, baby." he laughed. I smacked his shoulder playfully.

"I am, really. I'm just pretty terrified, too. What if no one buys it? What if people won't give us a chance? What if-" I asked, but Fox cut me off, by putting his finger on my lips. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. He always had a way of calming me down.

"It's alright, baby. You really shouldn't be worrying about that anyway. Are you having fun doing this?" he asked me.

"Of course. Everyone on the tour is awesome... and you..." I said, but let my voice trail off.

"I love you Fay. And I'll love you even if no one in the whole worlds buys the single." he joked. I shot him a look. He grinned again. "Hey, guess where me and my brothers are going while you're doing the interview?" he asked.

"Where?" I asked back.

"To the mall with Douglas and Finch..." he told me happily.

"You'd rather go to the mall with your friends than be at the radio station with me?" I joked. He nodded.

"Guess what we're all buying?" he asked. I thought for a second.

Realizing what he meant, I leaned in close and kissed his lips. When I pulled away after a second, I laughed,

"Won't that make us look desprate? All our friends are buying it!"

"Oh well, no one will know. We'll just say we're big fans." he laughed back, and kissed my lips again.

"I love you." I told him.

"I love you too." he replied.

Before either of us could get another word in, we heard a bunch of people scream,

"Fay! We're here!"

I knew it was the girls. I just smiled and jumped out of the bunk. I saw all four of them screaming and jumping around, looking out the window at the people outside. I ran to them and began jumping around with them. It was quarter to 3pm now.

"Look!" Joey screamed, pointing out the front window, as Jeffery parked in a closed off area. "There's Doug, Finch, Miranda, Cathrine and Katie!" she finished excitedly. They were a bunch of our good friends.

"Yeah! I can't wait to go see them!" Cher agreed.

"Hold it girls, we'll go around the front but we have to go right in. No chit-chat." Jamal told us sternly.

"Jamal! You know we haven't seen our friends in a month!" Cher yelled angrily at her brother.

"Cher, it's not Jamal's fault... we have to go in right away. Sorry, girls. You'll have time afterwards." Jimmy told us.

We all continued to smile, trying to hide the fact that we were a little dissapointed. Fox, Luke and Tony were staying on the bus, and Jeffery was driving them, and all our friends, to the mall to pick up the single. When Jeffery opened the bus doors, Jimmy grabbed Joey's hand.

"Calm down, Joe. You can't go running out there. There are photographers everywhere, and tons of fans." he told her. Joey gave me a sad look and nodded at Jimmy.

I kissed Fox goodbye before we got off the bus. Then the five of us walked slowly along side Jamal, Jimmy and Trevor until we neared the screaming kids and teenagers. Jeffery came with us, to get our friends and lead them back to the bus.

"Oh Gawd! My girls!"

All five of us grinned as we got closer to Catherine. She was crying, as was Katie and Miranda. And the guys just looked really happy to see us.

"Cathrine! Katie! Randi!" Marce screamed, wanting to run into their arms. But we just quickened our pace to reach them.

When we were right infront of them, the five of us hugged the three girls so tightly. We all started crying together. We were so happy. Then we hugged Doug and Finch. After just a minute of talking, well, crying, Jamal spoke up, telling our friends,

"Guys, this is Jeffery, the driver. Go with him back to the bus, ok? Luke, Tony and Fox are there."

"Ok, thanks so much, Jamal." Doug replied, and he grabbed the girls' hands. We hugged everyone one more time and said 'goodbye'.

"Congradulations, and have fun, girls!" Miranda told us. We all nodded, wiping our faces.

"I'm buy three copies of the single!" Katie told us. We all laughed at her.

Within another minute, our five friends were walking away with Jeffery. For a second, we wanted to drop the interview and go to the mall with our normal friends. But we knew we couldn't do that. And we knew that we'd see them again after the interview, around 5pm. But we were still sad.

"Let's go in, girls." Trevor said, pushing us along further.

"Can't we talk to some fans?" Dare whispered back.

"We don't have time. We'll do that afterwards." Trevor replied.

"Joey! I love you! You rock!"

Joey let out a laugh, and we all smiled, as a young boy, maybe 11 or 12-years-old, pushed to the front of the crowd to see Joey. He started snapping a bunch of pictures of her, too.

"Thank you." she smiled right at him. I swear, it looked like he was going to pass out. "What's your name?" she asked him.

"My... name? Uh... well..." he studdered. Joey was so amused that she had such a dedicated fan. "I'm Thomas." he finished, turning bright red.

"Well, thanks Thomas." Joey finished, leaned in, and gave him a kiss on his cheek.

Then she grinned as Trevor pushed her again and we all went into the large building. We'd been in this building before, but not like this. This was like nothing before. I was just about to talk to Joey, about the cute fan, when we heard,

"Are those my little girls?"

We all spun around to the sound of a loud voice, which we all reconized. It was Tanner, our favorite DJ at UXM 90.9 fm. We met him quite awhile ago, at a talent show. We became friends with him, but haven't talked to him or seen him much. He's only 22, not even that much older than us.

"Tanner!" Joey screamed and ran into his arms.

"Joe!" he replied, and we all ran to him and gave him one big hug.

"Man, girls, I haven't seen you in months. Congradulations, on everything, I'm so proud of you." he told us happily. We all kept on grinning.

"Thanks so much, Tanner." I told him. He kissed my cheek quickly, and then everyone else's.

"You know how exciting it was this morning, when we played Here To Stay for the first time, ever? I was so excited to announce it!" he screamed. We were all so shocked.

"You played it already? We missed it?" Marce practically screamed.

"Well, we played a 30 second clip of it. We're premiering it live, during my interview with you!" he finished.

"You are interviewing us?" I asked, shocked. This was so great!

"Yup! I had to pull a few strings, but I switched shifts with Bella just to be with you!" he answered happily.

"Aww, you're so sweet." Cher cooed. "This is awesome!"

"Is it ever! Let's get upstairs to my room!" he laughed, grabbing mine and Cher's hands. I grabbed Joey, and she grabbed Dare. And Cher grabbed Marce. We ran into the elevator, with Jamal, Jimmy and Trevor not far behind.

We were ready for a couple of hours of fun and excitement with Tanner!
