Jason Thomas was born January 7, 1979 in Spartanburg, SC where he and his mother and father still reside. Jason is a junior Biology/Secondary Education major at Anderson College. Jason also plays soccer at AC where he is a team Captain. He also loves basketball, swimming, biking, and backpacking. Jason has two dogs, Callie and Odie, and a cat, Max...all of which are extremely spoiled and lazy! Jason says that "my early experience in music was on the trumpet but I soon found the electric bass when Robert started playing guitar. It was originally a need met, but soon became a love. I was and still am completely enamored with Victor Wooten and what he can do on four strings with two hands! Sting, P-Nut, L. Skylar(James Taylor), and Nathan East(Phil Collins, and others) soon became influences. I'm always trying to find someone with a unique sound and emulate it. It's a never ending process! Robert and I had a garage band in high school. We were ok, but never went anywhere with it because we weren't playing God's music. It's amazing to see where we could go if we followed His lead." Jason's favorite scripture is Philipians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." My parents are my biggest heroes in my life. My Dad was always my coach and hero. I find myself more and more like him everyday. My Mom has always been my biggest fan. She did everything she could to make sure that I was not only provided for, but that I earned what I had through patience and hard work. She made sure that I was always the gentleman. Through her I learned what it meant to sacrafice for others. My girlfriend Julie is my best friend in the world. I can't wait to grow old with her! I thank God everyday for the abundant blessings He's given me. My brothers and sisters in Christ, especially Lee, Paul, Grace, and Robert have become the siblings that I never had. All Praise and Thanks to Christ Jesus who lives within me so that I might have life to the FULLEST!
