The amazing Nolan
family have had a variety of line-up's since they broke onto the pop
scene two decades ago.
Today's group
consists of founder members Anne and Maureen together with Anne's 20
year old daughter Amy and her cousin Julia.
The new look
Nolan's continue to attract a cult following and are still very much in
demand around the world, appearing in concert, cabaret and television
productions.
The other
original Nolan's, Linda, Bernie, Denise and Coleen continue to carve out
impressive solo career's away from the group.
Linda is
currently starring in the leading role of Mrs. Johnstone in the top
musical 'Blood Brothers' - Linda will be opening in the West End of
London at the Phoenix theatre on May 7th 2001 following last years
fantastically successful UK tour in the same role.
Bernie also
portrayed Mrs. Johnstone prior to leaving to star in the Channel 4 TV
soap opera, Brookside. Bernie plays the popular character hairdresser
Diane Murray.
Denise has also
portrayed Mrs. Johnstone in the West End and is currently entertaining
on the cruise ships with her own spectacular show. Denise is taking over
the 'Blood Brothers' UK tour role of Mrs Johnstone from Linda in June
2001.
Coleen has
returned to British television screens as a presenter on Granada
television's lunchtime chat show 'Live Talk' and on 'Girltalk' on the
Sky 'Wellbeing' channel 3 times a week before becoming the new face of ITV's flagship programme "This Morning".
The longevity of
their careers which continue to flourish and the affection of both their
fellow artistes and the British public confirms that these girls are
possibly the most talented British family ever to enter the magical
world of show business.
