About Silent Fear

Silent Fear is an all original groove-metal band based out of Hammond, La. The band is known for hard edged grooves, injected with tight harmonies. A mix of old and new school riffs with their own style of infectious rhythms drives this Louisiana band. The group's personnel are Ross J. Johnson-lead vocals and guitar, David Cutrer-second vocals and drums, Joe Coslan-sound engineer and band manager and Ralph Lucero-bass. Ross J. Johnson's past groups were Purple Heart, Storm Angel, Alien Steel and Mojo Zipper. Ralph Lucero was formally with Asylum, Purple Heart and Mojo Zipper. Joe Coslan was formally with Purple Heart, Asylum, Az-Iz, and Zaph Dingbats(formally known as Ocham's Razor). David Cutrer was formally with Ivory White, Mojo Zipper and The Rage. Silent Fear plays the local southeast club scene including Augustines, Zepplins, The Firehouse, The Howlin' Wolf, The Bayou and many others. Their debut cd SILENT FEAR has received great reviews by the local & UK scene as well as radio play on many major radio stations. The band is set to record their latest material in the Winter of 2002.
