Based in
downtown Burlington and having played numerous shows around the area,
Beautiful Nothing have been succeeding in their goal of being a band with an
edge. Sometimes haunting but even more so rocking, along with riffs that are
fueled by strange lyrics, make up some of the key factors that keep their
audience on the edge of their seat wanting more. Along with strong original
material, the band also performs a variety of familiar covers that vary from
Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hedrix, and Lynard Skynard to Pearl Jam,
Nirvana, Oasis, Weezer as well as the occassional Marilyn Manson tune. Beautiful Nothing have been playing together for a couple of years now and have already released their debut C.D with a governmet funded f.a.c.t.o.r. grant of $1000. This five piece group consists of Luke Ludgate (guitar), Shane Ludgate (drums), James Featherstone (bass), Anthony Ludgate (guitar / vocals), and to round the five piece is Mike Greggain (keyboards). The band is often noted for their original sound, bringing an innovative, abstract approach to a good rocking hook that has the ability to escalate an audience into the world of Beautiful Nothing. They consistently display a solid perfomance which tends to leave the audience intrigued. These qualities keep thier fans coming back.
