CHAP 2
“Lets go” Caitlyn said pulling Jenn from her computer screen
“Go where?’ Jenn said typing away at her laptop.
“To a club…..come on Jenn you really need to get out more……all those hott guys at the club…..you don’t know who will be there” Kady nudged Jenn
“Lets go” Caitlyn said shutting down Jenn’s laptop
“You suck you know that I was writing a story……I don’t want to go…..I don’t feel like it”
“Oh come on Jenn you have been sick free for a year now….its time to live again” Caitlyn said raising her hands up in the air trying to be over-dramatic
“No…..that’s not it….she is hung up on him.” Kady said grinning
“Who?” Jenn said looking around innocently
“Lance…..you still want him.” Kady said smiling
“Yeah she still wants what she is missing….he was that good huh Jenn.” Caitlyn said provoking her.
“Guys you know why I had to break up with him…….and its over he could never forgive me for what I did.”
“Yes he will, your better now, all you have to do is tell him why and then he will understand.” Kady said putting on her jacket. “But in the meantime….lets meet some guys.”
“OK” Jenn said getting up and putting her hair in a pony-tail
“GREAT” Caitlyn said as they walked out the door and into the night’s mysterious air.
*AT THE CLUB*
“Lance man you really need to come dance, the ladies are HOT tonight” Joey said coming up to the table.
“No its ok I like the whole low key thing.”
“Yeah right when you and Jenn use to…….” J.C. shot Joey a look and Joey left not looking back.
“Sorry man” J.C. said “He didn’t mean to bring it up, its just ya know practically the whole time we knew you she was always there.”
“Yeah, I know Jayce, I miss her.” Lance said talking a cherry from his glass and putting it in his mouth
“Naw really? I never would have guessed……Lance let me ask you this…….would you ever let her back into your life?”
“Yeah ……she was my friend first before girlfriend….she is the only person besides my family that I have known all my life…….”
“You’re a nice man Lance; a nice man.”
“Well I love her, man, I used to think that I would never forgive her, but I cant she has a piece of my heart with me wherever I go, nothing can take that away."
“Lance you really need a girl” Chris said sitting down
“I’m fine where I am” Lance said flipping through numbers in his cell phone
Chris sighed, “Yeah and I’m Britney Spears.”
* In front of the club*
“Can we go back?” Jenn said to her friends while they were waiting in line.
“Why?’ Caitlyn said giving her a weird face
“I don’t know, I don’t feel right.” Jenn said putting her hand on her head
“Are you ok? Your not getting sick again are you?” Kady said worried
“No…nothing like that I just feel out of place”
“Ok come on ladies its your turn.” The bouncer said as he led them inside.
Jenn squinted at the flashing lights; but soon her eyes got used to the flashes and she was able to see a little better.
“Oh excuse me” Jenn said bumping into a man taller then her that had brownish “fuzz” on top of his head
“No excuse…….Jenn? Is that you?” The man said
Jenn squinted “Oh my god Justin…….Hi”
Jenn and Justin were also good friends Jenn met Justin when Lance had met Justin and the three of them hit it off.
“Jenn it is so nice to see you! How is everything” Justin said knowing about Jenn’s little secret. He couldn’t tell Lance she confided in him not to tell.
“Its cleared….all gone….and hopefully will never come back.”
“Good I’m glad to hear it.” Justin said hugging Jenn
“Is he here?” she said almost whispering to where Justin could barely hear her.
“Yeah we dragged his ass down here……he still misses you, you know”
“Justin I don’t want to hurt him more once he finds out he will never forgive me.”
“You sacrificed, Jenn, you deserve him and he deserves you.”
“Justy!!” Kady yelled hugging him Justin and Kady have been going out for a while but no one knows especially not Lance he would die if he found out that he was closer to Jenn then he thought.
“Lets go dance” Kady whispered in Justin’s ear. He proceeded to follow her on the dance floor making sure they stayed away from Lance’s gaze.
“What am I going to do.” Jenn said walking over to the bar and sitting down
*Other side of club*
“Man where is that waitress I need more Cherry Coke and Cherries” Lance said getting impatient
“Then go get it yourself” J.C. said rolling his eyes
“Fine.” Lance said as he got up and walked to the other side of the bar. The bar was crowded. He squeezed in-between some people and got the attention of the bartender as he was helping a women next to him.
“What can I get you ma m’ and what can I get you sir?" The bartender said
“Cherry Coke and Cherries.” They both said
Theirs eyes met and they both swallowed at the same time.
They met again.
