oasis is one of the biggest bands of the '90s. They brought rock 'n' roll back, and they brought it back hard! Many artists and fans look up to oasis because of their sharp intellect in knowing how to make good rock music, and show some strength in character. The Gallagher brothers will forever be known as the conflicted siblings who made great rock 'n' roll music.
Liam and Noel Gallagher grew up in Manchester, England. They lived a rather gruesome life because of the place they lived, and because of growing up with an abusive father. This is how they gained their attitude, but in the future, their attitudes would serve them very well in becoming rock icons.
Liam grew up with a knack for mischief, and Noel grew up with an ultimatum... He admits he wasn't exactly a smart guy, so he was either going to become something unproper, or he was going to pick up a guitar and become a rockstar. The latter proved to be his choice.
Liam began singing in a local band, which didn't work out so well, and Noel started writing songs. Liam noticed Noel's talent, and begged him to join his band... That band would soon morph into oasis.
The brothers released their first album, a massive success, making it the biggest debut album in English history! They introduced themselves to the world, and did it professionally.
They released their 2nd album, spawning a fastest-selling album of all-time record at the time. "Wonderwall" being one of the most haunting singles of all-time, and still haunting today.
Back then, the brothers got heavily into alcohol and drugs, but by the time their latest album hit, they have become clean. oasis have always been known to have gimmicks, and like chameleons, have come in and out of phases they have created... their albums would do the same.
oasis have always been a huge act live, selling out even the biggest shows like wildfire, and making fans want more and more. They were also always known as a B-side band, meaning that even their B-side songs could even be better than their album material. Not many bands can have a title of having legions of fans who obsess over a bands B-sides like oasis' fans.
Both brothers have had wives, divorces, and kids. And now that they have obviously proven they can last and "live forever," even as rival brothers, even through different members leaving and new ones arriving... oasis will definitely continue to release new material for their fans that will be timeless forever.
