Chapter 6
2 days later-
"Hi Cindy!" Gina said as she answered the phone. I called her to see if she wanted to go shopping with me.
"Hey Gina! You will never guess what happened the other night."
"What, you know I hate these guessing games." She told me.
"I have a date" I told her.
"You have a date? You have a date? Wow you have a date." She sounded shocked.
"Yes, I have a date. It’s with Dan’s friend, Trent. Christine and I are going out on a double date. Since we are going out together, I was wondering if you and I could go shopping Thursday?"
"Ok, let’s not go to the mall because of our bad situation the other day. How about we just go to a clothing store?" she asked me.
"Sounds good to me. Just one thing, I need to take my car to the auto shop. Would you take your car, then we can drop my car off at the shop and then we can go shopping in your car?"
"Ok fine with me, see you in a few days, bye"
"Bye I said then hung up the phone.
Thursday Night-
"Hey G" I said to Gina as I knocked on her door and she answered it.
"Hold on one second, I need to get my purse, come in."
I stepped into the door and I saw Josh in the living room.
"Hi Josh, how are you?"
"Oh, hey Cindy, I am doing good, you?"
"Better then I was a few days ago. Did Gina tell you what happened?" I asked him.
"Ya, she did, I’m sorry."
"It’s ok, at least it wasn’t a big crash were everyone got hurt. The only thing that got hurt was my poor car." I told Josh.
"Ok, I am ready." Gina said as she stepped into the room. "Let’s go."
"See ya Josh." I said as I walked out the door.
"Bye honey." Gina said to Josh as she kissed him good-bye.
We walked into separate cars and drove to the auto shop.
At the auto shop-
Gina and I walked into the auto shop. The sent of rubber from the tires hit my nose.
We went over to the counter and stood in line. There was only one man in front of us. He was just a tad bit shorter than me, and had dark blonde hair.
"Ok, could you wait for one minute, we’ll get it for you." The gray-haired man said to the man in front of us.
The blonde-haired man stepped to the side of the counter. He smiled at me. I smiled back. This was a nice looking man. He had a chiseled jaw with bright blue eyes.
"Can I help you Miss?" The gray-haired man said to me disrupting my thoughts.
"I was in a car wreck yesterday and I need my car repaired." I looked over at his nametag and it read "Rick"
"Ok, what is wrong with it?" Rick asked me.
"The whole backside is dented in."
Rick looked at me with a weird look on his face. "We can take care of that. What is the license
plate number on the car?"
"Sassy" I replied. "If you can see it, it’s kind of dented in."
Rick smiled. "Ok, well see what we can do."
Gina and I left the shop and walked out to her car. "Oh, my gosh." Gina said as she drove her car to a nearby store. "That guys in there was totally checking you out!"
I smiled to myself. "Ya, and I was totally checking him out."
"He was pretty cute, why didn’t you talk to him? He smiled at you and that is like one big invitation to come say hi."
"I smiled at him, but he never came up to me. Plus, I am going on a date tomorrow night. That is why we are shopping, remember?"
"I know, I know, I just hope you and Trent hit it off." Gina told me.
"So do I" I whispered to myself.
