PERSONAL INFORMATION
Hi to all of you! I'm Eugene, a senior at the Ateneo de Davao University (one of the best schools on the face of the earth). I am taking up Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Management Accounting and hope to someday become a successful businessman and at the same time, one of the top managers of a prestigious company like Microsoft Corporation (possible? hmmnn..). Ey! I've just graduated this May, and I'm planning to take up post-graduate studies at UP-Mindanao (pursuing a long-time dream...taking up Computer Science). I was once working at the Ateneo Computer Science Center as an assistant. It's lot of fun working here and I have learned much from my six-month stint.

Anyway, I was raised here in Davao City, the 2nd largest city in the world (in terms of land area), the 2nd city that has a pure and clean water, and the fast-rising city in this part of the country. I have spent both my grade school, high school days here...and I'm about to finish my college life in this place . Davao is a place of nightlife, mystic beaches, exotic fruits and delicacies, and fun. There's lots of beautiful girls here and numerous attractive and enchanting landmarks you can't wait to see for your very own eyes.

I would highly recommend you to visit my school. Also, if you happen to be a college student with just one year left, I strongly suggest you to transfer here and experience the spirit that is truly...Atenean! You don't want to miss a thing about college life, don't you? Anyway, enough talking about Davao's #1 university. 

Now I'd like to tell you more about myself. I was born here in Davao City, the land of promise, on the 3rd day of August, 1979. I finished my grade school at Davao Christian High School in 1992 and finished my high school at Davao City National High School in 1996. It is here where I have discovered my leadership skills, being a class president in almost all of the subjects and participating in some school activities like oratorical contests and others. I will always remember those days as some of the best in my life. 

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
Brown eyes and with short black hair. I am a Filipino, half Spanish and Ilonggo, 5'7" 1/2 in height, light complexion, with chinky eyes. I love playing chess and basketball. I always spend my time designing homepages, chatting and surfing the internet, playing pc games, and downloading mp3s . I like eating lasagna, hamburger, and fries when going out. MY NAME IS...
Eugene: Named after the first Asian grandmaster (which happens to be a Filipino) and after my grandfather by both my parents and my grandmother. Also, my name means "well-born." Sometimes, my name is being referred to the great Prince Eugene of Savoy (undoubtedly one of the greatest tacticians ever known) by some of my close pals. Well, I guess I'm quite linked with the royalty (I hope that will come true. One of these days, probably...hehehehe).

MY mIRC NICK
I am using baron_flash as my nickname on the mIRC chat rooms. In case you want to get in touch with me just log in to #ateneo, #davao, #mpinoy3, #animempeg or #durian using either the two servers : irc.dal.net (port# 7000) or irc.chatx.net (port#6667). By the way, I got my nickname after the famous and exceptional ace pilot of MS Tallgeese and MS Tallgeese 111 (Gundam Wing) - and also my favorite character, Lt. Zechs "Baron Flash" Merquise. I usually prefer using mIRC scripts such as Scoop scripts, etc. I also use the nickname `SetaSoujiro` (well, I guess you will figure it out why later on.).

PERSONALITY
I am a kind and soft-hearted person, fast-learner, sensitive to the feelings of others, very helpful, funny to be with, romantic, and the one who hates confrontation (and makes it a point to avoid it as much as possible, though most people seemed to misunderstood me as a person who has no emotions at all). I am sometimes cold-hearted though (as most would misunderstood me), consumed by anger. Though some of my closest friends would say that I'm a kind of person who doesn't know how to get angry (quite contrasting, isn't it?). I always believe in peace and tranquility that should exist amongst us. Yes, I may sound like a pacifist or something. But when the need arises, I always make it a point to end all speculation with tactful efficiency...avoiding any further complications. I always believe in the simplicity of things...that the best things in life comes in small packages. Both mind and heart must go hand in hand when it comes to decision-making, as well as in love life (though I'm having some kinda bad lucks on it, sheesh!).

INSPIRATION
Family: They have taught me well about the good and the bad parts of the thing called "life." They have molded me into a person I am now.

Friends: Friendship is a very sacred thing, fragile at times, easily broken, and not so easy to mend. But you can always be sure of one thing: they are always right beside you in times of success and failure. It is in this reason why I'm so proud and thankful to have friends like Pietro, Mayett, Christine, Arthur, Frian, Myra, Mark Wendell, Jules, Andro, Ann Faye, Rayah, and company who were always there, through times of trials, happy times and tribulations. I also have new friends who have inspired me, one way or the other. These are the people who in one way or another inspired me to become a much more better person.

THINGS I LIKE
Web Page Designing: I've been in to this activity since April of 1999. The first lesson that I've learned was manual HTML codings  from angelfire.com and from Mark, who happens to be my co-worker and who have first introduced me to this art. Though I have no background with computer programming and web page designing, I still pursued to learn and analyze it by myself alone. This is the result of that hard work. I've finished this homepage last June, 1999 and have it redirected at Webalias networks on the same date. I was really fascinated with the internet and web designing. As of now, I am learning the Microsoft Front Page software. Well, I'm having quite a good progress on learning it. With, of course, the help of my sensei and friend Mark. One thing that I could advice you when planning to create and design your own is to start learning from the basics to the more complex ones. never give up. It all takes a little time and effort. Also, always believe in yourself and your abilities.

Leading people: This is, perhaps, one of the few things I really love doing, aside from web page designing. This somehow molded me to reach my fullest potential in helping out and in leading people. During High School, I became a class president in my 3rd and 4th year.  I have learned firsthand the skills about leadership. About camaraderie, honor, responsibility, and courage. During my college years, I was also elected as a class president in 3rd year. Here, I have learned to be "men-and-women for others," the true essence of being an Atenean. About humility and versatility. And today, as the class president of our class, BSC-MA 4B, I could say that I have already achieved the greatest opportunity in life. I'll always be proud of serving my fellow classmates.

Collecting and Playing L5R cards: One of the hobbies I have and have continuously showed interest on it since 2nd year college. It was one of my classmates who introduced me to this card game called "Legend of the Five Rings". The storyline itself (which was inspired by both Chinese and Japanese history, culture, and folklore), coupled with the savvy and excitement the card game brings and the unique art it shows, made me fall in love with the game...and the story, as well. I grew up under the banner of the Unicorn Clan, as a wild-eyed Shinjo. But has shown keen interests on the Crab, Lion, and Scorpion clans. (Well, talk about a personality that has the free spirit of a Unicorn, the battle-guile of a Lion,  the brashness of a Crab, and the subtlety and cunning of a Scorpion. That's me!)
