CHARACTERS INFO

Three other trainers started with Ash. Among one of these is Professor Oak's own grandson, Gary. Gary has his own fan club who all adore him. When Ash was young, he was best friends with Gary but somewhere along the way, they grew distant because of rivalry and jealously. Gary always attempts to put Ash down as best as he can. We have never actually seen Gary's pokemon or seen him battle in the episodes aired in America, though we do know that his starting pokemon is either Squirtle, Bulbasaur, or Charmander. We do know however, that he is always way ahead of Ash. He has caught more pokemon than Ash, as well as badges.

In the first episode, Ash woke up late on the morning he and the other three trainers got their starting pokemon. When he got there, the three basic starting pokemon were gone. All that was left was a Pikachu. Ash takes it and finds out the Pikachu is afraid of getting into its pokeball. Pikachu does not like Ash in the beginning and he struggles to catch pokemon as it just looks around. Pikachu finally trusts Ash when a flock of Spearows come attack them. and he tries to protect Pikachu.

There are in total 50 episodes that have been aired in America. In every single episode, there is Ash, Misty, and Pikachu. Team Rocket came in the second episode and every episode after.
