MT. MOON WALKTHROUGH!

Hi! Welcome to MT. Moon. Mt. Moon is a mountain that has a mystical story. It is believed that all pokemon came to earth on a big rock, called the moon stone and landed on Mount Moon. A fairy pokemon called Clefairy guards and protects it. Mt. Moon is a large maze. Don't get lost! Make sure you have a couple of pokeballs and potions with you in case you run low on HP. There are some trainers there too who will challenge you. I'll give you a hint: If you see a trainer who is male and very fat and big, you know it's a hiker. Hiker's use rock pokemon, sometimes fighting. In Mt. Moon, they usually start with Geodude and end with an Onix. Put a Bulbasaur or Squirtle as the first in line-up. Remember to catch a Clefairy, who is very rare in Mt. Moon. You have to wait a while until you can finally fight it.

The other pokemon are Zubat, Geodude, and Paras. You will usually fight a Zubat and since it is flying typed, use Pikachu to fight it. If you fight Geodude, use Squirtle or Bulbasaur. If you fight Paras, use Charmander or a poison pokemon.

Near the very end, you will fight a Super Nerd. When you beat him, he will give you one of his two fossils that he dug up. The left is the Dome Fossil, which contains Kabuto, and the right one is Helix Fossil, which contains Omanyte. You will not be able to use them yet because you will need to resurrect them in the pokemon lab research on Cinnabar Island, which you will get to many hours later.

Get out of Mt. Moon. Remember to catch a Clefairy for when you get out and into Cerulean City, you cannot go back unless you enter it from Pewter City. Do not catch a Geodude yet because you can catch a higher one in the Rock Tunnel, which you will go to 3 to 6 hours later.
