Pictured on this page are the beginnings of Swiftsure, our roots, so to speak.   We are grateful for the opportunity we had to share our lives with these wonderful dogs. Sadly, they are no longer with us, but they will live forever in our hearts and memories.

(Ch. Forest Slim Jim, CD x Ch. Eyleland Paisley), bred & co-owned by Doug & Mary Beth Arthur. “Arthur” came to us at age 7 and started his Can. Show career – Specialty Best in Show and Hound Group 1st were among his accomplishments. He finished his Can & Am CD’s at age 10. Arthur proved to be an outstanding producer of top show/racing champions. Arthur was an ARM pointed Grade B racer in his youth. He was a wonderful companion with a rock-solid temperament that he has passed on to his children.

CH. RINGO'S SONNY DAZE OF COURSE, AM.CAN.F.CH. - our foundation (Ch. Emberson of Course, A.R.M. x Am.Can.Ch. Bardon Faded Finery) Bred by Bill & Alice Turpin, born in 1972. Our first Group winner. "Daisy" was in the Top Ten in Canada with multi-Groups in the ring, Best in Field lure coursing and started racing at age 7 as a Grade A/B. Daisy was 19 ½” and 25 pounds of pure determination for everthing she attempted.

“Mack” (born in 1977)– our do-it-all dog - Specialty winner, meet winning Grade A racer, Top Ten lure courser, Top Ten ranked racer in the US, top producer of show & racing champions, only dog to sire both a Canadian and an American National Specialty winner (Ch. Roving Roulette & Ch. Swiftsure Out of Africa). “Mack” was the cherished pet of Linda’s parents and did everything we ever asked of him. His littersister is Ch. Swiftsure Ragtime Galatea, Am.Can.F.Ch., Am. Can.CD

MSBIS AM.CAN.CH. MARIAL'S SWIFTSURE PHANTASY, AM.F.CH.,CAN.F.CH.X. (Am.Ch. Sheridan Marial’s Nikita x Am.Ch. Marial’s Renfield Phoebe). Bred & co-owned by Doug & Mary Beth Arthur, born in 1979. “Fanta” – our first owner-handled American Champion. “Fanta” was a Multiple Specialty & Group winner, Grade B straight racer, with Best in Fields in Canada & the US. She was in the Top Ten in Canada in the ring and lure coursing.

AM.CAN.CH. SWIFTSURE PHLASHBACK, AM.F.CH., CAN.F.CH.X. (Mack x Fanta) “Flash” (born in 1982) – a multiple Group winner, Grade A meeting winning Oval Racer, ORC & ARM pointed, Best in Field courser, ranked in Top Ten in Canada in the ring and lure coursing for several years. Flash was one of our very favorites and Linda's shadow for 15 years.

CH. SWIFTSURE NICKEL PIPEDREAM, ARM(Ch. Swiftsure Happy Daze, ARM, Am.Can.F.Ch. x Slade’s Edie Ann O’Lazebrook, ARM)
“Raven” (born in 1983)– Grade A straight racer, came back to us at age 5 and finished quickly in the ring. Raven was an absolute character and lived to 15 years of age with Linda’s parents. This was a tremendous dual-purpose litter: her brother, “Mikey”, Ch. Swiftsure Wishful Thinking, ARM, ORC, Am.Can.F.Ch. was Grade A meeting winning Oval & Straight racer, Best in Field courser, 2 CD “legs” and sister, “Fancy”, Ch. Swiftsure Rainbow Chaser, Am.Can.F.Ch. finished with a 5 pt. Specialty win (under Norman Ellis) and had both Oval and Straight racing points.

CH. MIMBRES FROSTA FROLIC (Am.Ch.Alerek's Celebrity, ROM x Am.Ch. Morshor's Ripshin Adrianna, ROM) Bred by Joe Light & co-owned by Swiftsure & Mary Downing, born 1991. "Whitney" was added to our household in 1992 when Mary & Linda fell in love with the little white whirlwind at the AWC National. Our reluctant showgirl finished at 7 months of age with Group placements and a Best Puppy in Show. Whitney is the proud momma of 6 champions and 4 Field Champions. Sadly, we lost our beautiful little Whitney in December, 2000. Her bouncy, bubbly personality is very much missed in our household.

MBIS MSBIS MNBIS AM.CAN.CH. SWIFTSURE OUT OF AFRICA (Mack x SBIS Can.Am.Ch. Surrey Hill’s Savannah, SC, ROM) co-bred/co-owned by Karen B. Lee, 1988 - 2001. Our Special One - “Gilly”. His parents were two of our all time favorite dogs and it was only fitting that he was so “special”. He is the sire of Group placers, Specialty pointed champions and Best in Field winning Field Champions.
