The only continent on the Disc that is covered in desert. It is situated in the Widdershins Ocean, close to the Rim
The first expedition to XXXX, several thousand years ago, was lead by a sourcerer.
About 500 years ago, a colony was started by some wizards from Ankh-Morpork, who hung corks from their hats and lived on barbequed prawns. The continent has since been sparsely populated by shipwrecked humans and dwarfs, and camels who float across from Klatch on logs. There is one city, with a University of Wizardry, an Opera House and a Dibbler who sells pie floaters.
A few stories have got back, telling of giant, leaping rats, ducks with fur, no wings and four feet, and huge, flightless chickens. This suggests that the place is completely made up.
