From time to time, Surrey India Arts Club has been involved in number of community activities in addition to their own efforts for promoting folk dances, especially BHANGRA.
Few months ago, members of Surrey India Arts Club participated in the Annual Baisakhi Parade held in Vancouver. People all over from British Columbia and other states come to participate in parade. A year prior, members of Surrey India Arts Club distributed calanders to all the people is this parade updating them of the ever-going efforts of the club for promotion of Punjabi Culture.
This year, there was a float of Surrey India Arts Club with live bhangra performance along with live music and songs performed in association with members of the club and local artists. People have a wonderful opportunity to take a look at the efforts done by Surrey India Arts Club and had an occassion to make their children motivate for participation in different traditional and cultural events. Lots of people personally came to appreciate the thought and the effort and we received many phone calls too.
