8. Laughter and Tears

Looking back over these past few years,
Seeing things the way they used to be,
Would we have made the same decisions,
If the consequences of our actions could be seen?

There's been laughter,
There's been tears,
But together we've made it,
Through the years.
Whatever lies ahead,
We can face it together,
The only thing worth living for,
Is love that lasts for ever.

We were young, naive and immature,
You couldn't tell us a thing,
Because we'd heard it all before;
Facing the consequences,
Of our own mistakes,
It's only now that we're finding out,
If we've got what it takes.

There's been laughter.....

If I could live my life,
Right over again,
I don't believe I could have found a better friend.
There's no use in having any regrets,
You only get one shot at life,
But if you miss, don't get upset.

Just be thankful for the simple joys,
The everyday memories,
Which no-one can destroy,
Build on experiences that brought happiness in the past,
And put your faith in a simple hope for love that will always last.
