Traditional Korean snacks, Insa Dong Insa Dong, the "arts center" of Seoul. Dozens of shops, art galleries, and out-of-the-way coffee houses make it a great place to spend an afternoon, or to shop for all manner of souveniers and gifts for the folks back home.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Large drum. A large ceremonial drum, Pulguksa temple, Gyeongju. This city was once the capital of the Silla dynasty, and was abandoned when Silla was overthrown and the capital moved to present-day Seoul. As a result, many cultural treasures there survived which otherwise would have been lost. Much of the city has been designated a UN World Heritage Site.
