Williamsburg Governor's Mansion
This handpainted hat box features the governor's mansion in Colonial Williamsburg. There is a lot of detail in this piece, especially in the mansion. The fruit border is reminiecent of the type of natural decorating that was used during that time. The base of the box is looks like a rich maple burl wood. The process of making the "wood look" takes several days to achieve because of the time it takes for the paint to dry between applications. The oval hat box measures 7 1/2" tall by 14" long and 11"wide. Box is signed by the artist and offered by Brushworks.

Williamsburg Pitt House and Apothecary
This hand painted hat box features the George Pitt House in Colonial Williamsburg. The building dates pre-1774 and served as a dwelling and apothecary shop, the Sign of the Rhinoceros. Quilted Star Santa Hat Boxes
This star shaped hat box is of Santa wearing a quilted pattern design. Each painted quilt piece features a unique pattern just as fabric pieces would in a quilt.
