Sergeant David Scott and
Jean Dalgity married in Scotland in 1795. They moved to Nova Scotia and were the first
of the ten generations who have lived in North America. In the
1820's, the second
generation formed the two main branches, called the Northern
Branch (descendants of John Scott) and the Pittsburgh Branch (descendants of his brother, David Scott Jr.). Between the 1840's and 1860's as the third
generation married and had children, nine family lines
were founded by the grandchildren of the pioneer
couple. The current status indicates if living descendants have been located. Colour indicates the Northern (6 lines) and Pittsburgh (3 lines). |
