Third generation Scott descendants living in the Ste. Croix area had their picture taken at Elm Farm, a home to five generations of the same family.  The home was previously owned by Alexander Dill and his wife Mary Smith who adopted their nephew David Scott sometime following the death of his mother Elizabeth Dill in 1835, or possibly the death of his step mother Catharine Ann DeWolf in 1845. David is shown with the majority of his family, one son Alexander Dill Scott had already moved to California.

Identification on back of photograph gives the location and year and a list of names but with no sequence. The majority of individuals were identified by Fred C.G. Scott [b. 1911] on April 22, 2000. The question marks beside Belle and Ada indicate guesses on his part and the two names could be interchangable. Both individuals are listed as being in the picture from the earliest identification.
