Justice is a satire on our legal system that ignores justice as its primary mission. Justice is not dependent or subservient to Law in the Preamble to our Constitution. The acknowledged sole concern of lawyers is the representation of their clients – without any responsibility to the society that hires them. Our nation needs justice as a possibility to believe in. Our legal system is the only non-divisive standard for our behavior. Religion is a divider – not a uniter and frequently excludes masses of citizens. Our legal system is our most important institution. Within this book the fundamental errors that must be addressed and changed are dealt with, and in a story most readers will understand. The consequences are real and the changes are definitely possible – if we limit the increasing monopoly and power of the present system. Litigation pays hugely and its cost to society is correspondingly huge. This is the story of a President’s nomination of a distinguished educated non-lawyer to the United States Supreme Court.- an unthinkable idea with a mind of its own.
It has to do with the fact that trial lawyers are not sworn in though the witnesses are.
It is their rule that a lie is permissible if not made under oath. For most of us a lie is a lie.
In defense of their clients lawyers can lie and lie without being tried for perjury making the discovery of truth almost impossible and of course therefor the delivery of justice.
