May 28th, 2000-Harrisburg, PA- Susquehanna Region SCCA. I added H&R Sport Springs, and tried using my 16" rims from my CRX for this event. The springs were installed soon after the first race at Nazareth. The balance I found in the stock set-up was gone at this race-it's still unknown if it was the spring rates if the H&R's or the worn Toyo's that did it, but I was pushing in the front much harder than with the stock set-up. Even still, I did much better on the more open course that was set-up at the Farm Show complex and finished 3rd in STS, and 33rd of 94 drivers at event. I was doing very well through my runs, and went all-out on my final run, and lost it in the middle of a large sweeper and had to come to a complete stop to avoid cones or running off-course, yet I still ran almost as fast as my previous best time that day! I would've liked to have either another run on the course or to see what I would've run without that mistake. The trouble was that I was going so hard that I held off braking for the large sweeper until the last second, and ended up holding too late and entered with too much speed. Oh well. At least there was improvement, and I ended up getting Moyer back for the beating he gave me a couple weeks prior. Moyer tried using his 17's instead of the 14's that day since we knew the course would be faster than at Naz, but it didn't work out for him. He ended up doing a 180 on that same sweeper I had trouble with!
The right-hand picture was taken less than a second before Moyer's 180...
