Meditation Basics

The Tarot is a great tool for meditation. By laying a spread or choosing a card that you are drawn to, you can use the Tarot to help increase your intuition through meditation even further.

Meditation doesn't have to be affiliated with religion or done as you read in a book. You can use it much as you use the spreads, by using your intuition as guidance.

Choosing the right meditation can be very helpful with the Tarot. The Tarot is often better at picking what we need than we are able to do consciously. There are many decks such as Motherpeace Tarot that are designed for this purpose. Using the Tarot not only for divining but for gaining insight into yourself and your life is a good way to get to the bottom of things. Although many of these decks are designed to give advice, by picking the right card and meditating on it, you can gain even more powerful insight from your own intuition.

The Tarot can help focus and direct meditation and for this reason, it is a good tool to use. By using imagery that you are familiar with through your use of the Tarot, you can gain powerful insight and find many answers for your dilemmas. The imagery in the Tarot itself is a powerful tool to use and can be very helpful in any matter covered by the Tarot.
I believe it best to use the Major Arcana for meditation and visualisation. Again, it's a personal choice, as much of the Tarot works on you. Pick the way that feel right to you and use that. However I also feel that a seperate deck for meditation works best. Take a look at my books and decks section for some thoughts on what deck can be best used for this purpose.
