This card often means that the person has been going through a rough time. It is usually a positive card to see as it denotes that the tough time is coming to an end and that this is period is the 'darkest hour before the dawn.' I usually read this card as positive as it means that whatever issue has been bothering the person will soon be over.
The card that this corresponds to in the major arcana is that of the wheel of fortune. With the swords this can indicate that troubles are cyclic in nature and that it is the persons time to have some woes.
