More Television

Television, all three stations that were available at that time,

seemed to offer more to watch than all the cable systems of today.

That again, is Bobaloon's opinion.

Anyway, here are some more tidbits from the past.

Lassie wasn't the only canine hero of the era. Don't forget Rin Tin Tin. He and Corpral Rusty were constantly finding themselves in some sort of predicament. I know I've already mentioned him. But Howdy and Bob Smith are well worth double credit. Besides. it's a different photo.

Allright already, they're not from the fifties. Alfalfa may have been around before some of us greasers were born, but I know that I saw a lot of him and the rest of Our Gang on T.V. when I was a kid.

They were funny and very much a part of the fifties as I remember it.

The Honeymooners were only one of many zany situations that Jackie Gleason created for us. Remember The Poor Soul, Reginald Van Gleason the Third, Joe The Bartender.

I still wonder how such a big man could do his famous flip, fall and land on a hard stage floor.
