You will need:
4 cup all-purpose flour
1 C salt 1 1/2 cups cold water
bowl
rolling pin
knife
utensils for pressed patterns
cookie sheet or foil
cooling rack
Directions:
Place flour and salt in a bowl
Add water gradually mixing well with fingers till smooth
Knead with fingers for about 5 minutes
Keep dough in a plastic bag if you don't want to use all of it right away
Roll out dough with a rolling pin and cut desired shapes with a wet knife or form with fingers
To join several pieces, add a bit of water and press together
Add designs or textures with utensils
Bake on a foil cookie sheet in a preheated 350 degree oven until hard
Allow to cool on rack
Paint to decorate
