You will need:
firm Delicious apple
paring knife
rice
whole peppercorns
white household glue
fresh lemon juice

Peel apple smoothly
Carve features, then insert and glue rice teeth, peppercorn eyes, and a small short dowel rod for a neck or a hanger for an ornament
Dip apple in lemon juice and let dry in a warm room for about 4 weeks, occasionally fine tune the shape with fingers as it dries
Decorate as desired
