quick action!
Mood:  accident prone
Now Playing: arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! song of irritation against stupid things~
Topic: adventures!

Well, my mom decided almost at the last minute to become involved with a Heart Walk (Tampa Bay HW 2004) and my family is going to walk tomorrow to raise money for research and patient care for those with heart problems.

If you wish to help donate to this worthy cause, you will find a way to do so: Heart walk donation page
for my family (specifically, my mother)

-sigh- Why didn't I tell you guys this before?
Well, as I mentioned above, my mom only decided to do this quite recently so I wasn't prepared to share the news with everyone (argh! -that's not good since the point of this whole thing is to walk and have sponsors who are willing to support us with monies for the sake of the patients- why on Earth didn't mom think of this?! ...*grumbles then stops*)

Anyways, pray for us and support us if you can
sorry for the hastiness of this message, but that couldn't be helped due to numerous reasons (one of which I've elaborated on quite enough by now).

-sigh- Thanks in advance!

...good night.

-Daiko~
(ah! and please do pray for my little brother,
he really, really needs help
I fear that he truly lacks self-control
for he is too prone to putting things off
so that he can enjoy passing pleasures in the present
instead of laboring for awhile so that he can have free time later -sigh- please help him!)

Festive Fall
Mood:  accident prone
Now Playing: sounds of life around me
Topic: bits and pieces
Today, my little town* has started it's Flapjack Festival for the season and... I'm missing it ;_; still, though I don't want to miss out I feel somehow that this is fine and that somehow I'll get there before the end of the festival (runs from Nov. 5-7 this year)

at least, I hope so.

"How to" tutorial by Ashwings
a word of warning for this, it has a HUGE image- but it is a good tutorial if you want to learn how to CG images, so be patient!

Ringwraith by Yonaz
to think, this guy did this entire piece with an optical mouse only since his tablet wasn't working ...o.0'
personally, I am also an optical mouse user and I could do something like this with the same tool, but I am beginning to feel the limitations of the mouse and am now starting to wish I had a tablet- actually, a Tablet PC would be much more preferrable in my eyes.

so I will remember the truth...
Mood:  crushed out
Now Playing: You're still here waiting
Topic: sanctify~
(I hope and pray that other's will too.)

Love is patient, love is kind, love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude.

It does not insist on its own way;
it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice in wrongdoing,
but rejoices in the truth.

It bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.

Love never ends
but as for prophecies, they will come to an end

For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end.

****
With regards to myself, I still have trouble with doing this properly- being a truly loving person, I mean.

I do...
I'm not as patient as I can be
and sometimes I want things my own way

I find myself irritable and resentful at times (but more often for the latter, and not the former thank God!)

Yes, I am still working on this indeed.
please pray that my love for others and for everything else will be perfected- I want sainthood, and will change my life to life in a way that is truly good- to be sanctified is my goal.

pray for me.

I'm not finished yet
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: 90.5 Spirit fm
Topic: buy my stuff!
I'm not finished yet- definately not
especially when it comes to this blog
and I'm getting a bit tired of typing things like "entry unfinished" and all, so I may change that.

Today, some of my concerns are about voting and the things that I'm selling online

I've found that I really love Half.com when it comes to me selling things since it is so easy to list things on here; also, the fact that Half.com does not charge a listing fee for items makes selling on there really great!

on to other matters...
Mood:  lyrical

Today, for the observation of All Saints' Day my younger brother and I headed over to our church to get to the 8 o'clock Mass (yes, it was in the morning and I usually have a very hard time getting to this Mass on time) and we made it~

I really would like to give God thanks for that, I do know that my brother and I did put forth effort yet I know that it was due to God helping us that we had that small miracle of waking up early- the extra hour is something to be grateful for as well.

Let's consider the sky...
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: *light flute music*
Topic: sanctify~
Let's consider the sky,
in all its glory
it's a passing beauty
and it's free
and often taken for granted

it's called "God's Canvas"
at times, since this is the place
where the colors are spread
over it like a pallete
-it's something like a water color sketch
a blending of hues

consider this and other "simple" things
and be glad.

let's see a bit of where I've walked today, shall we?

HMO's Angel Boy in Screentone

illusions by hexentanz
Wow, not only is this image beautiful, but the artist appears to have really good "art sense"- I am now quite interested in their work... and I'm amazed by their level of customization within their DA journal- I mean, I didn't even know it was possible to make it look so beautiful like that... wow.

and here's a bit more that I've found on DA today:

*I'll be getting to some of the "bigger things" later today in another entry if I can- I'll try to cover what I did during the weekend (two parties, All Hallowed Eve observance) as well as some of today's things (possibly, I'll cover All Saints' Day, prayer, and other things as well).

this cut was the original state that I left this entry in after I had first typed this at college earlier.

At the moment, (5:26p to be exact) I am now contemplating whether or not I should take donations for money online (ugh, I think the idea sounds horrible personally- even worse now that I've actually typed this up) I don't think that I will be taking this option, since I would much rather work and earn payment rather than accept charity... but, I won't be giving this much mulling over as I feel that this is just a light passing thought.

I'll do what I can to honestly make money, I won't resort to other options- my heart won't allow for anything other than that.

...

So, would anyone care to commission me? I do have reasonable prices, and I am willing to do artworks starting at $5 (which is quite inexpensive really)

the day before All Hallowed Eve
Mood:  quizzical
Now Playing: my favorite radio station, Spirit fm!
Topic: bits and pieces
(speaking of my favorite station, I don't have it linked in my sidebar anymore... I think I'll be changing this in the future though.)

-yes, today truly is the day before the night that was once known as a holy evening... I just learned some of the history behind this event, and it bothers me that this is not more well-known. It would be an excellent idea to have more people be aware that this day is supposedly a holy day because it is in preparation for All Saints' Day* which follows right after.

there's something hidden behind a cut here.

and today on DA:
I ran across a new artist, Chibi Bunni-chan
she has the potential to draw even better in the future, and I like her most recent deviation even though she doesn't. ^_^;;

Angle of Fall by Nightline

Wolf Moon by Mayshing (I also enjoy her comic series that she currently has up on DA** also, she has some nice tutorials as well.

Mayshing also lead me to another artist, Tikal by way of the shoutboard in her journal (yes, I'm still referring to Mayshing- for those I have confused with my strange sentence structure. ^_^)

a favorite from the excellent artist, Maggock
this is called, Breaking Free

-------
*in the Phillipines, All Saints' Day is celebrated as a National holiday- the offices and schools are closed- they get the whole works! I wish that things were like that over here, America could sure use more holidays and time for people to be off work since we're such an overworked country. -sigh-

**please take note that this link will take you to the first page of the aforementioned "comic"
