I won an award for "Enough" on

published in their yearly anthology of recepients.
Confessions
Handing what I covet...a life,
to flat-lined death...
Willingness was not an issue.
Taking, receiving all that I gave,
from nothing; Which spontaneity spurred.
Oh, loving fraudacious breath,
this wind of life to mine eyes
blowing imagery clouds, to rain on earth.
Oh, gracious breath
forlorn in your misunderstanding
the days received shall cease to blow.
ventured I to the cliff
seeing what a lust shall never see-
wandered I to the cliff, fell to the sky
like the bird that flies,
soaring in beauty for granted
which we fall from
ventured I to the breath of forever, sacrificing time for something that i knew
not. to live is to see misunderstanding
mine eyes are caught in the wind of forever,
I shall never understand.

Number 12
Difficulty spurring me
Introducing me to life
Leaving me open
A crevice,
A crack.
"See me," I say
Bearing my soul,
Showing a show of me in a whole
See me as I am when daunted
Like you,
Like all-
an inner soul haunted

Enough
can you feel this pile of raw
bulstering emotion
eating my mind away?
lovely, oh lovely
and putrid and wonderfully
acrid to smell
dire to straight
away with your heirlooms
your banners of hate.

Republicrupocrisy
plastic -
smiles and
empty words, the patriotic
nagging at my dwindling
dedication while leading me
astray; ashtray with your butts
smashed and broken?
you say unite,
positions speak otherwise of
separation -
longing for a future attainable by some
while I sit wasting sucking on this apathetic
thumb for a ride down the interstate...
maybe I'll catch a ride to another
state of mind...
highly improbable --
I have no flag to hide my intentions behind.
And you are not my brother.
