“I don’t want to go.’’ JC replied as he was laid out on his queen size bed at the hotel. He was watching TV.

“Come on Jace we’re not able to go clubbing on tour like we used to.” Justin said in JC’s room.

“I told you no. I’m tired and you act like I’m actually doing something at the club.’’ JC looked at his best friend.

“Man I’m sick of your ass sitting around!!! Come on JC and………………(he stopped to think)……….and maybe you’ll meet (air quotations) your dream girl.” Justin crossed his shoulders at his chest.

“Well………….I guess.’’ JC sat up.

“Cool! It’s gonna be worth it trust me.’’ Justin grinned.

“Yeah whatever……….now get out so I can throw something on.’’ JC basically pushed him out of his room.

AT THE CLUB

Like I had said before I just didn’t feel like dancing. I had done that earlier today and I swear by the time Pop Odyssey is over I’m going to need a serious foot doctor.

All I really wanted to do was lay up as usual. I worked my way through the dance floor and found a seat at the bar.

“A Zima please.’’ I told the bar tender he nodded and brought me my drink.

I paid him and took a sip of the beer.

I pushed it away after that.

“Almost forgot that I’m the designated driver…………screw the beer.’’ I sighed.

“God this is boring.’’ I told myself.

I turned to look at the huge crowd dancing and having a good time.

JC knew that seeing all four of his band mates dancing that this was going to be a long night.

“OKAY WE GONNA LET THE DJ LIL JON TAKE A BREAK FOR A SEC.” Another DJ stepped to the turntables and took the microphone as the last song ended.

“OKAY RIGHT NOW I’M GOING TO TAKE ANY FELLOW FEMALE VOLUNTEERS TO DASH US WITH A SONG JUST FOR A FEW MINUTES OR SHOULD I SAY KAROKEE. AND PLEASE LADIES ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO SING WE DON’T NEED NO TONE DEAF WOMEN UP IN HERE!!!!” DJ stated which made the crowd laugh.

I shook my head.

“ANY ONE? COME ON LADIES DON’T BE SHY. SHOW US WHAT YOU WORKIN’ WIT!!!!” DJ went on.

Finally from what I saw a black girl walked on stage.

“Well aren’t you just bootylicious.’’ The DJ looked her up and down.

“Well thank you.” She blushed.

“What’s your name girl?’’ he asked.

“It’s Erica.’’ She replied.

“Well Erica what do you feel like singing tonight. And you can only do the first verse and chorus because we gotta get Lil Jons punk ass back up here before he gets a hangover.’’ He explained.

The crowd laughed.

“How about “We Need A Resolution.” By Aaliyah?” Erica looked at the guy.

“Okay baby but don’t mess this song up. You look so good I would hate to have to boo you off da stage.’’ He set the track up.

The girl started to move her hips as the first opening beats started up in the song

I bobbed my head.

Timbalands small part started and finished and she began to sing.

We Need A Resolution (Aaliyah)

“Did you sleep on the wrong side?

I’m catching a bad vibe

And it’s contagious, What’s the latest?

Speak your heart, Don’t bit your tongue

Don’t get it twisted, Don’t misuse it

What’s your problem?

Lets resolve it

We can solve it, What’s the causes?

It’s official, You got issues

I got issues, but I know I miss you

By that time everyone was hoopin’ and hollerin’ for her to keep going.

A lot of people were dancing.

She sounded amazing her voice was somewhat like Aaliyah maybe even better but it had a whole other level to it.

The girl had a voice on her I had to admit that.

Chorus

Am I supposed to change? Are you supposed to change?

Who should be hurt? Who should be blamed?

Am I supposed to change? Are you supposed to change?

Who should be hurt? Who should be ashamed?

Am I supposed to change? Are you supposed to change?

Who should be hurt? Will we remain?

We need a resolution, We need a resolution,

We need a resolution, We have so much confusion.

Erica finished and the whole place went wild she just smiled and did a little bow. They just couldn’t stop clapping.

“Dam girl hold me back!” the DJ came back up and gave her a quick hug.

She just giggled.

“Well do your thing baby girl you did that song some justice. Can you say record deal?’’ he went on.

She just smiled and than walked off the stage.

Lil Jon returned to his turntables and stated up another song.

“Well ya’ll give it up for Erica one more time! (The crowd clapped) Dam dam dam she can sing and looks fine as hell!!! Well any ways I’m bout step out ya’ll and Lil Jon gonna continue the night with his phat beats. I’m out.’’ The DJ jumped off the stage and the crowd returned to normal.

I watched Erica as she walked toward the bar. Well the DJ was telling the truth. She was a very good- looking girl. She looked about twenty- three and she was some inched shorter than me. The girl had very long jet-black hair it dropped all the way down to her knees. As she got closer I noticed that she had hazel eyes.

I had never seen any black person in my entire life that had hazel eyes they were usually brown.

Still those just made her look more gorgeous.

She had nice full lips and what seemed to me perfectly arched eyebrows. Here eyelashes were long and real curly. As for the rest of her she had a perfect figure. In may eyes she had it all.

If there was such a thing as a “perfect woman” she was that and even more.

“Could I get a water.’’ She asked the bar tender he nodded and grabbed it for her.

I got in some guts and, “Your performance was really good.’’ I replied.

“Where did that come from? Your performance was really good? Great sentence.’’ I thought.

She smiled her pearly white.

“Thank you.’’ Erica said as she sipped her water and took a seat next to me.

When she put her drink down she looked at me with strangely.

“Hey aren’t you JC from, “Yeah JC Chasez from N’sync.” I interrupted her.

“What are you doing here? I mean not to be rude but are you sure it’s safe to be here with no body guards?’’ She asked.

“It’s cool places like these we really don’t get much trouble from and it’s really to packed and too dark to notice any body.’’ I said.

“Oh well it was nice to meet you.” She got up.

“Don’t let her go! Talk to the girl!” I screamed at myself.

“Why are you leaving me? Don’t wanna stay and talk?’’ I stated.

She just smiled.

“She has the most beautiful smile I have every seen. She’s probably the kind of girl who can get anything from a guy is she wanted.” I thought.

“I promised a friend a dance that’s why I’m leaving.’’ She replied.

“Oh okay.’’ I said.

“Erica come on girl.’’ A guy approached her.

“Bye JC.’’ She smiled.

“Ask her for her number quick quick you idiot!!!!!!” I yelled at myself.

“Ah Erica!” I shot up and she turned around and her male friend walked on.

“Yeah JC?’’ she looked at him.

“I was wondering maybe I could give you a call some time?” I looked at her.

“That wouldn’t be a good idea.’’ She looked at me and than walked off.

Well that hurt. She just basically dissed me. Maybe I should go after her……. no that wouldn’t be right would it? She might think I’m trying to stalk her. I mean I hardly know her and besides she obviously doesn’t want to be bothered with me.

I sighed and returned back to my seat.

Not like it would have worked out any way.
